Un o’r cartrefi preifat, hynaf yn Y Bontfaen a llawer yn honni iddo gael ei ddefnyddio fel lloches i bererinion blinedig ar eu ffordd i Dyddewi. Fe’i sefydlwyd fel tafarn yn ystod y 1850au ond fe’i cauwyd erbyn 1920 pan defnyddiodd Wybert Thomas, y perchennog, y lle fel swyddfa i’w gwmni adeiladu.
Y Masons Arms, adeilad Graddfa II yw’r dafarn hynaf yn y Bontfaen. Rhai o’r nodweddion canoloesol a welir yno yw’r ffenest unigryw. Mae’n un o’r adeiladau pwysicaf yn y dre am iddo gael ei adeiladu mewn i furiau’r dre – rhan o’r bar.
Anne Painter oedd perchennog y lle ac ym 1784 William Thomas oedd y tenant.Roedd mewn man delfrydol i dafarn. Yn groes i dafarnau eraill y dref, ni fu’r Masons Arms yn nwylo teulu bonedd yr ardal erioed.
The present imposing Victorian building was built in 1891 whereas the old Horse and Groom was located a few doors down to the east. The inn was first mentioned in 1795 and Lewis Jenkins was the landlord of the old inn between 1878 and 1891. Until being refurbished in the 1980s the inn had hardly changed in a century having a bar, bar parlour, kitchen, commercial room, five bedrooms and billiards room upstairs.
Erbyn heddiw yr Edmondes Arms yw’r dafarn gyntaf y gwelwch wrth yrru mewn i’r Bontfaen o gyfeiriad Caerdydd. Cafodd yr adeilad ei chodi o garreg calch Jwrasig ym 1899. Gwelir y dyddiad ar y tu allan. Y Parchedig Thomas Edmondes, tirfeddiannwr cyfoethog, oedd y perchennog gwreiddiol.
With the closure of the Star, the Lamb and Flag became the only remaining public house left open in the village of Wick in the Vale of Glamorgan. The former coaching inn dates back to the 16th century and still provides food and drink for the weary traveller. Original features include inglenook fire place.
One famous local is Nicole Cooke, the Olympic gold medallist.
Popular with walkers and is the home of the local football club.
Dydy’r Glenbrook Inn ddim wedi ei rhwymo at unrhyw fragdy penodol. Fe’i agorwyd ym 1982 gan y teulu O’Leary, sef Joseph, Vincent a Peter a adeiladodd y dafarn ar safle eu ffermdy. Nhw sydd berchen y Cross Inn yn Y Bontfaen hefyd.
Mae’r Glenbrook wedi ennill sawl gwobr bwyd a diod dros y blynyddoedd ac yn Ionawr 1997 hi oedd y dafarn gyntaf yn Y Barri i gyflwyno ardal ysmygu uwch-dechnoleg!

The Park Hotel was built in the 19th century to quench the thirst of dock workers. Located close to the railway station and believed to be a church at one time before becaming a hostelry.
Original features include moulded plasterwork and wooden staircase which leads to an upstairs function room. The skittle alley is popular with the locals.

It is said that a local once brought his horse into the bar for a bucket of beer! Hence named 'Zoo'.
Possibly named after the Hanoverian King William IV (1765 - 1837) and located in Bridge Street, Barry. A locals public house known as 'King Billy' in the area.
